Alexander Canario was an exciting baseball prospect at the time (2022), and I pitched a dual-language feature for both English-speaking fans and Canario’s family and friends in Spanish.

It took more than just word-for-word translation to tell his story. It also allowed me to take a unique angle of Canario’s love of salsa music, a love I share and that we connected on in our conversations.

A feature on USF's mascot, Rocky the Bull. This piece lined up with Rocky's birthday celebration on campus, and I wanted to highlight how the mascot has evolved with USF Athletics throughout its history.
